Registered Nurse — Maternity

<p>Our Lady of Lourdes Mwea Hospital is recruiting Registered Nurses for the Maternity & Maternal Health department. Successful candidates will provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, supporting mothers through safe delivery and newborn care.</p><p>The hospital serves a growing catchment population in Mwea, Kirinyaga County, and the maternity unit is one of our busiest departments. Nurses work in shifts alongside experienced midwives and the obstetric team.</p><h4>Key Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Provide comprehensive maternal and newborn nursing care</li><li>Monitor labour and assist in safe delivery</li><li>Administer medications and treatments as prescribed</li><li>Maintain accurate patient records and handover notes</li><li>Support health education for mothers on postnatal care and family planning</li></ul><h4>Requirements</h4><ul><li>KRCHN or KRN/M diploma from a recognised institution</li><li>Valid Nursing Council of Kenya registration and licence</li><li>At least 1 year of maternity experience preferred</li><li>Compassion, teamwork, and commitment to the hospital's values of service</li></ul>
