The Our Lady of Lourdes Mwea Hospital Medical School was officially opened in a ceremony attended by the Sisters of Mary Immaculate, hospital leadership, government officials, and community members.
The school was established to address the critical shortage of trained nursing professionals in the Mwea region and to provide quality, faith-based medical education grounded in the hospital’s values of service and compassion.
The opening ceremony included a tour of the new classrooms, dormitories, and practical training facilities, as well as speeches from the hospital CEO and visiting dignitaries.
